Interpreting

Interpreting, i.e. translating the spoken word from one language into another as it is being spoken, requires a fluent command of both languages. You can rely on us! Our interpreters are native speakers of the source language, have studied the target language, and are proficient in interpreting techniques.

Simultaneous interpreting: Transmission in real-time of the spoken text via microphone and headphones. This type of interpreting demands highly skilled and competent interpreters, who have perfected their interpreting technique.

Consecutive interpreting: Interpreting is done on a time-delay (consecutive). Using the note-taking technique, the interpreter makes notes and then produces the spoken content in the target-language. The target-language version should be streamlined and well-structured.

Whispered interpreting: This is a form of simultaneous interpreting, but without technical aids. The interpreting is done for a maximum of two people. The interpreter sits between or behind the interlocutors and whispers the interpretation into the ear of one or two meeting participants.

Conference interpreting: This involves interpreting at conferences, such as international summits or professional conventions. Simultaneous, consecutive and whispered interpreting can be used at conferences.
